(…)Ferré, a renowned virtuoso of the traditional glove puppet from Valls (Tarragona) Catalonia, mostly in the technical modality of the traditional Catalan glove puppet, has made notable efforts to push the rules of tradition to the limit, applying this principle that is becoming more and more important in the arts of puppetry: the puppeteer is also an actor, who can leave the castle whenever he wants, when not doing without it directly. (Little) Moby Dick has fallen in love and embarked on a continental journey to find the person who left “the most beautiful love letter in the world” in a bottle.
An adaptation based on the silent film of the 1920s, The mark of Zorro, by Fred Niblo, faithful to the original novel by Johnston McCulley. A Governor abuses his power and steals from the people, through a faithful army of clumsy soldiers, who do not hesitate to carry out his orders. But Zorro, hidden under a mask, marks the abusers with a Z and takes the Governor by the collar.
A traveling boilermaker sells at fairs with his assistant. To attract customers, he tells the adventures of various characters. He likes to chat and immediately the tales he tells end up in the magical and mysterious world. The stories have to do with strange adventures in which they say they have found themselves.
A muslim troubadour, an expert romancer and a soldier who has just come back from Crusades. This soldier is a noble knight down at heel who is forced to do whatever it takes to survive. They have brought, from the East, the art of manipulating puppets or rather “to move wooden puppets as if they came to life” Furthermore a wild and introvert shepherd travells with them. This man has lost his herd and he plays the pipe in order to get food.
